Leave Diagnostic & Assessment

Most organizations have leave policies and processes in place.
And still, the experience of leave does not always unfold as expected.

How consistent is the experience of leave across your organization—really?

Leave Program Diagnostic

The Leave Program Diagnostic focuses on how policy and process connect to leadership expectations around leave. It examines how decisions are made, how roles are understood, and where expectations and practice begin to diverge.

This work provides a more accurate view of how structure is currently supporting—or not supporting—the experience of leave, including where leadership expectations and policy or process are not fully aligned as leave unfolds across the organization.

Leave Experience Assessment

The Leave Experience Assessment focuses on how leave has been experienced across roles. It draws on the perspectives of employees, People Leaders, teams, and HR who have been directly impacted by a leave of absence, and how that experience compares to what was expected.

Through this work, patterns begin to surface—where the experience felt steady, where it became strained, and where expectations and reality diverged over the course of the leave.

The Diagnostic and Assessment can be used together or separately, depending on whether the focus is on how leave is structured, how it is experienced, or how the two connect.

This work often begins with a closer look at what is currently happening beneath the surface of leave. A simple starting point for understanding what is already happening.

Facilitated Pathway Sessions

Facilitated Pathway Sessions create space for HR and People Leaders to move through the Connected Leaves Pathway together. As leave unfolds, decisions continue to be made across the organization, and these sessions provide a steady and consistent space to work through those moments over time. These sessions are facilitated by Strong Foundation Coaching & HR, creating a consistent environment for teams to move through the Pathway together.

Even with policies in place, managers often navigate similar situations differently, and decisions are made without a shared reference.

As work continues during leave, decisions are made across the organization—often in real time and across multiple roles. These sessions provide space to examine how decisions are made in practice, how roles are carried, and how leadership adapts as circumstances evolve.

Through facilitated conversation and shared reflection, the sessions support the development of a shared understanding of how the leave experience is carried within the organization—and how each role contributes as situations unfold.

The work unfolds across sessions, allowing space for reflection, application, and continued movement through the Pathway as new situations arise. Sessions are typically spaced over time to support ongoing reflection and integration as the experience of leave continues to unfold.

Over time, this creates greater consistency in how leave is carried across teams as work continues.

CLP Practitioner Training

CLP Practitioner Training is designed for individuals who want to learn the Connected Leaves Pathway and carry it back into their organization.

While many organizations are working to support leave through policy and process, individuals are often left to interpret how to carry that experience in practice.

This training focuses on how the people experience of leave unfolds through Prepare, Sustain, and Reignite, and how that experience is carried across roles as work and relationships continue. Participants work directly with the Pathway, connecting it to real organizational context and considering how it can be introduced within their own environment in a way that fits how their organization operates.

The training is delivered over a defined period and is intended for HR professionals, People Leaders, and others in roles that influence how leave is understood and carried within an organization.

A way to build individual clarity and confidence in how the experience of leave is carried.
